$25 -- Buys one textbook for a midwife (The Hesperian Guide)
$100 -- Provides a safe birth kit for two midwives
$500 -- Trains one midwife, positively affecting thousands of women

Midwives for Midwives has achieved all of its major accomplishments as a result of the commitment and vision of individual and foundation donors as well as volunteers. Our operational costs are low, which means that the vast majority of donations directly benefit traditional midwives and the women they serve.

Every day in the United States usable resources are wasted. Uncontaminated medical supplies or other items may be collected from hospitals and clinics and sent to MFM for redistribution to traditional midwives.

  • One umbilical scissor (curved, straight, blunt ends)
  • One Hesseltine alumninum reusable cord clamp
  • One box of "clean" gloves (small sizes that can be re-sterilized)
  • Blood pressure cuff
  • Stethoscope
  • Cotton surgical towels (reusable)
